Melina′s Story

I wandered the village for over a week, hungry, scared, and unwanted. A kind young girl and her family fed me, but others weren’t so kind. The neighbors complained, and soon, I was set to be taken to a pound—crowded, cold, and full of fear.

I thought that was the end… but it wasn’t.

2nd Chance Dogs team stepped in just in time. Now I’m safe. I’m still just a pup, not even a year old, but I’ve been given a second chance. I don’t fully understand yet, but I know something big has changed.

Love, safety, and a forever home might finally be mine.

Character & Temperament

I’m still a little scared, but I’m gentle and friendly. I like to follow humans around—my curiosity gets the best of me, and I really want to learn. I might be a bit shy at first, but if you’re kind, I’ll come over for some pets and give you a few licks. I have so much to discover, and I’m trying my best every day.

Ideal Home for Melina

I’d love a home that’s calm and patient—somewhere I can grow at my own pace and feel safe. I’m still finding my confidence, but with love and kindness, I’ll blossom. I get along well with other dogs and even cats too, so a home with furry friends would be just fine with me. What I really dream of is a family who will understand I’m still learning, and who’ll show me that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
